Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Holy Family Convent Chapel.
The Rev. Ronald Kirk, O. Praem will officiate and burial will be in the convent
cemetery.
Sister Cornelius, nee Edna Murphy, was born May 8, 1892, at Ironwood, Mich.,
daughter of the late Patrick and Anna O’Neil Murphy. She entered the Order of
Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity in 1916 and professed her vows July 15,
1919. She was a music and elementary school teacher in many cities in Wisconsin
including Manitowoc and Clark Mills. She retired from teaching in 1965.
Survivors include a brother, Neil Murphy, of Anacortes, Wash.
Friends may call at the convent from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, handled funeral arrangements.
