Mrs. Brown was born Oct. 10, 1940, in San Bernardino, Calif., to Jack and Irene Lewis Maurquett.
She graduated from high school and attended college for a year. She had worked as a florist. She enjoyed spending time with her family, beachcombing and gardening. She had lived in Springfield for 40 years.
Survivors include five sons, Gary of Springfield, William of Junction City, Wilbur of Eugene, Warren of Umatilla and Clinton of Niceville, Fla.; three daughters, Teresa Foote and Donna Marsters, both of Springfield and Karen Blevins of Walla Walla, Wash.; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
