Elaine Daniels Atwood passed away at the age of 96 in New Braunfels, Texas on June 19, 2017. She was born on January 15, 1921 to parents Carleton Daniels and Nell Alberta Edmiston in San Diego, California. Elaine was a long time New Braunfels resident. She was an ordained minister for more than 70 years, a missionary in Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay and owned Atwood Printing Company. She was a member of First Spanish Assembly of God in New Braunfels for many years. She was a teacher; a pianist; an accordionist; and a nursing home volunteer at Sundance, Oakwood and many other assisted living facilities in San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Leroy Atwood. She leaves behind many close friends. A Funeral Service will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Saturday, June 24 at 12:00 noon. Burial will take place at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park following the Funeral Service.
