Sister Stephen Mayer, 96, of Holy Family Convent, died early Friday morning, Dec. 17 at the convent.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Convent Chapel. The Rev. Gerald Walker O.F.M. Cap. will officite and burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery.
Sister Stephen Mayer was born April 1, 1886, at Edson, Wis., daughter of the late Peter and Anna Schibel Mayer. She entered the Convent June 15, 1905 and professed her vows Aug. 9, 1909. Sister Stephen Mayer was a Homemaker at Holland Town, Darboy, Antigo, Boyd, Rhinelander, Middleton, Wis.; Lindsay, Neb.; Manistique and Menominee, Mich.; Wellston, Ohio, San Miguel, Ariz. and Santa Barbara, Calif. She retired at Holy Family Convent in 1966.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; a sister, Mrs. Rose Steinmetz of Boyd, Wis.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. William Mayer of Stanley, Wis.; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Convent Chapel, 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
