SHALLENBERGER - At her late residence on the Pinnacle, Mrs Margaret Shallenberger, on Saturday morning at 4 o'clock, August 31st 1895. Deceased had spent her long life of nearly 80 years in this vicinity, surviving through the changes of the town for many decades. Mrs Shallenberger's husband died in 1872. Since that time she has been cared for by her daughter Miss Cornelia. A son, Lester Shallenberger, lives with his family near Leisenring No 1. Deceased was a member of the Christian Church, and Rev H J Seamon, pastor, officiated at the funeral services, which were held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. A very large funeral procession accompanied the aged townswoman's remains to their last resting place in Hill Grove Cemetery.
