Larry Miles Besaw, 16 months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Besaw Jr. of Graettinger, died Tuesday morning at Iowa City where he had been hospitalized for the past several months. The baby had been ailing since birth.
Born Aug. 12, 1955 at Holy Family Hospital he is survived by his parents; two brothers, Steven and Jamie; his grandmother, Mrs. Maxine Nissen of Graettinger; a grandfather, Alvin Besaw Sr. of Nevada, Mo., and a great grand-father, Emery Bales of Ruthven.
Funeral services for the little boy will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home in Graettinger, the Rev. H.A. Svendsen, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in the Graettinger cemetery east of town.
Friends may call at Martin Funeral Home until time of services.

According to his obit from the December 13 1956 issue of the Graettinger Times, he was born...August 12, 1955 in Estherville, and died December 11, 1956 in Iowa City. It appears the dates on his monument are incorrect.
