MARS HILL-Josephine J. Durost, 70, wife of the late Thurber Durost, died Sept.7,1991 at her Mars Hill residence after a long illness. She was born in Monticello, Nov.3,1920 the daughter of Harrison and Pearl(Miller) Curtis. She was a member of the United Baptist Church of Mars Hill. She is survived by a son, Roland B. Durost of Hampden, a daughter, Mrs. Graydon (Sarah) Shorey of Manchester, NH. Three nephews, Erwin Curtis of Michigan, Ronald Curtis of Caribou and Reginald Curtis of Florida. A niece, Nancy Conley of Washburn, Two brothers, Roland Curtis of Mars Hill and Fernald Curtis of Surry. Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Interment Pierce Cemetery.
