Sister Mary Martha LaBreche, 59, of Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, died Saturday evening in the convent.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Family Convent Chapel. The Rev. Julian Resch, O.Praem, will officiate and burial will be in the convent cemetery,
Sister Mary Martha, nee Eleanore LaBreche, was born Jan. 19, 1918, in Marquette, Mich., daughter of the late William and Amelia Messier LaBreche. She entered the Order of Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity in 1945 and professed her vows in 1947. She served the community as a housekeeper in Oconto Falls and Kaukauna, Wis., Ayshier, Iowa, West Point, Neb., and also taught in St. Philip, Green Bay, until illness forced her retirement in 1974.
Survivors include six brothers, William and Bernard of Marquette and Ferdinand, Leo, Norbert and Donald of California and two sisters, Sister John Brebeuf of Green Bay and Mrs. Alex (Isabel) Polkosi of Marquette.
Friends may call in the convent chapel from 5 to 9 o'clock this Monday evening, where a prayer service will be at 7:15 o'clock. Pfeffer funeral home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
