Mrs. Anna Serrano "Oma", 78 of Nacogdoches, Texas, quietly passed away on October 14, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Offenbach A/M, Germany on December 15, 1933 to parents Bernhard Walther and Euginie Salomea Walther.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, October 18 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor Young, officiating. Interment will follow at Moral Cemetery in Nacogdoches.

Anna's family and friends were dear to her heart. Anna shared 56 wonderful years with her loving husband, Efrain "Frank" SerranoSemidey. They met in Offenbac A/M, Germany in 1953 and were married in Heilbronn- A/N in 1956. Anna was trained early in her life as a leatherworker and was very involved in fine "gold file" leather shoes and handbags. Anna was devoted to her Catholic Church, her husband and her family. She was known as "Oma" to her family and closest friends. Anna had a love for helping others. She was a wonderful baker, cook and was known for her cheesecake, cookies and homemade potato salad. Often times Anna would help her husband and sons BBQ and cook for the Knights of Columbus. Some of her favorite past times were planting and caring for her roses, flower beds and pets. She traveled the world with her husband in his military career and loved old fashioned camping and fishing. "Oma" will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers and sister, Aldolf Walther, Bernhard Walther, and Lina Walther.

She is survived by her soulmate companion, Efrain "Frank" Serrano; daughter, Eugenie "Jeannie" Serrano; sons, Mathias "Benny" Serrano and wife Jan, Efrain "EF" Serrano and fiancé Patricia Martin; brothers, Herman Walther, Willie Walther; and sister, Jennie Walther; grandchildren, Mathias "Matt" Serrano and wife Amy, Stephen Serrano and fiancé Jennie Rudisill, Jenna Serrano and special friend Andy Smith, Lora-Serrano Means and husband Brain, Christina-Martin Morton and husband Matthew, Courtney Martin and special friend Bradley Rodgers; great grandchildren, Gavin and Gunner Means; and two very dear special friends, Janice Mancheck-Hamblett and Ruth Mancheck.

Pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

Friends and family are invited to visitation on Wednesday, October 17 at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel from 5-7p.m. with Rosary following
