Earl M. Halstead, 81, of Stroudsburg, died on Wednesday at Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort. He was the husband of the late Betty (Riday) Halstead.
Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late H. Milton and Emma (Niering) Halstead.
He was a mechanic for the Scheller and Kitchen garage, Stroudsburg; he operated the Gulf Service Station, Minisink Hills; and until his retirement he worked for the Ott Thomas garage, Stroudsburg.
He was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ, Stroudsburg.
He was a member of Barger Lodge F & Am #325, Stroudsburg.
He is survived by a sister, Alice Frailey of Stroudsburg and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Kirk.
