Bernard "Ben" Lamping, 97, IOOF Home, Greensburg, died Thursday in the IOOF Home.

He was born Jan. 24, 1896, in Hamburg, Ind., the son of Bernard and Catherine Brune Lamping. He married Rose Hartman March 29, 1921, and she preceded him in death Dec. 24, 1986.

He is survived by one brother, the Rev. Louis Lamping, Cincinnati; two daughters, Sister Rose Bernard Lamping, Oldenburg, and Pauline Schoettmer, Greensburg; one brother, the Rev. Louis Lamping, Cincinnati; one sister, Hilda Litzinger, of Batesville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be today at 3 p.m. in the St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon.

Burial will be in the Church Cemetery in Napoleon.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon.

Memorials may go to the Church Window Fund.

Arrangements were handled by the Nead and Clark Funeral Home, Osgood.
