"John E Bunting, 70, of Spartansburg, RD 3, died yesterday morning in the Corry Memorial Hospital following a two-week illness. He was a farmer in Sparta Township most of his life. A son of Newell and Martha Smith Bunting, he was born Aug 26, 1877, in Rockdale Township, Crawford County. On Oct 20, 1919, he married Amy Stearns. Besides his wife, he leaves the following children: Louis Bunting, Donald Bunting and Mrs May Wyman of Spartansburg, RD 3, Albert Bunting of Corry, RD 2, and Clara Johnson of Girard; 11 grandchildren, and a brother, Elton Bunting of Saegertown. Friends may call at the Torrey and Hays Funeral Home in Spartansburg...The funeral service will be held there at 2 pm Friday with Rev Cassius Armitage of Cobbs Corners Church officiating. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg."

"FUNERALS - John E Bunting - The funeral service for John E Bunting was held yesterday at the Torrey and Hays Funeral Home in Spartansburg. Rev Cassius Armitage, pastor of the Excelsior Church, officiated. His message was based on the Twenty-third Psalm, and he read the hymn 'Never Grow Old,' and the poem 'The New Home.' Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg. Pall-bearers were Warren Brown, Edward Hebets, Melvin Gray, Louis Hathaway, Orren Smith and Merle Moyer."
