Born in West Point, Ga., he graduated from Auburn University and came to Columbia in 1929 with the U. S. Coast Guard and Geodetic Survey. In 1949 he joined the Ben Arnold Co. where he was sales manager. He was executive vice president at the time of his death.
He was a member of Eau Claire Presbyterian Church and the Columbia Elks Club.
Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Carolyn Chapman Andrews; and two daughters, Miss Carolyn Andrews of the home and Mrs. Joan Godwin of Lake City.
Pallbearers will be Gene Groves, J. B. Walker, Curtis Brazzell, George Reeder, Norman Arnold, Harvy Belson, Bert Arnold and Gus Arnold.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Eau Claire Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Claude McIntosh, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel is in charge.
