Mary Jane was born March 14, 1921 in Tooele, Utah, the second of eight children born to Joseph Quincy and Mary Jefferies Griffith. Mary Jane was the oldest daughter and was responsible for helping her mother take care of her younger brothers and sisters. After graduating from Tooele High School in 1939, she married Arthur Seymour Curry, her high school sweetheart, on May 10, 1940. They shared their lives for 64 years until his passing in 2004. They were the proud parents of Brent Griffith (Vickey) Curry of Tooele, Jane Curry (Jerry) Wilson of Centerville, and Arthur "Tuck" Quincy (Shauna) Curry of Bountiful.
Mom was a hard worker and gifted student who excelled in everything she did. She worked for the federal government at Tooele Army Depot, Fort Douglas and Hill Air Force Base until she retired. She and Dad loved to camp, fish, hunt, and enjoy the company of their family and friends, of which they had many.
She is survived by her brother Bill (Joanne) Griffith, three children and their spouses, 11 grandchildren (Holly, Brenda, Brett, Aime, Clint, Kristine, Chad, Brad, Quincy, Ann, and Ellen), 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, loving parents, brothers Jeff, Joe, Dan and Dick and sisters Nancy and Lois. Mary Jane's family would like to offer a special thanks to Hospice for Utah and the staff of Heritage Place for their loving care.
