Robert Allen Campbell, 87, of North Hall Street, Sharpsburg, Md., passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at CJ's Senior Care of Hagerstown, Md. Born Oct. 3, 1924, near Antietam Furnace, he was the son of the late Russell and Sarah (Otzelberger) Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, whom he married Nov. 11, 1950, H. Maxine Campbell, Oct. 3, 2008.
He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, serving in the United States Army. He was employed by Southern Shoe, Fairchild Aircraft and retired as a carpenter in 1984.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Preston Campbell; and two sisters, Ester Grimm and Jane Schroyer.
