Mrs. Lauretta A. Brandenburg, wife of the late Mathias Brandenburg, died at the home of her niece, Mrs. James Waters, of Hagerstown, Sunday, of general debility, aged 78 years, 8 months and 7 days. She was a native of Frederick county, but has been living in Hagerstown for the past four years. She was a daughter of the late George Blessing, one of the most highly esteemed and intelligent farmers of the Middletown Valley. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Caleb Wyand, of Keedysville. Mrs. Brandenburg was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, at Church Hill, this county, for 65 years, where her funeral will tale place at noon today, Rev. W. L. Remsburg, of Funkstown, officiating. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
