Naomi R. Kalp, 74, of Ruffsdale, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, in the UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland. She was born June 9, 1926, a daughter of the late James and Eva King Cole. She was employed as a waitress for 43 years, having worked at the Howard Johnson's Restaurant on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and retired from King's Family Restaurant. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Kevin Miedel; and two half brothers, Lawrence and Russell Soles. She is survived by her husband, Russell I. Kalp Jr.; two daughters, Connie May and her husband, Donald, of Lewisburg, Pa., and Thelma Janicky and her husband, Edward, of Scottdale; two sons, Russell J. Kalp Sr. and his wife, Marian, of DuBois and Russell J. Kalp Jr. of Ruffsdale, with whom she resided; five grandchildren, Lisa Maxwell and her husband, Ryan, and Cindy Farmer and her husband, James, all of Lewisburg, Kimberly Bosich and her husband, Michael, and Laurie Campbell and her husband, Earl, all of Scottdale, and Kelly Kalp of Anchorage, Alaska; eight great-grandchildren, Erin, Emily and Adam Maxwell, Jenna Farmer, Mallorie and Taylor Campbell, Paige and Brianne Bosich; a sister, Leota Fulmer of Ruffsdale; and a half sister, Kathryn Bowman. Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Kletzing and the Rev. Dr. Larry E. Kalp, her brother-in-law, co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs.
