SHREVEPORT, LA - Marshall H. Dubois passed away July 22, 2010 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born December 19, 1935 in Mt. Vernon, IL to Virgil and Mamie Dubois.

He was the eldest of eight children. He moved to Shreveport in 1953 and took up his calling in life as a machinist, repairing and rebuilding cars. He married Helen Norman in 1954 and they had four daughters. In 1970, he married his second wife, Imogene Temple, who had four children, and they spent the next forty years in the home he built for them in Blanchard.

Together, Marshall and Jean owned Marshall's Automotive, where they made a lifetime of friends during several decades in business. Marshall was the "go to" man about any engine problem, and he was highly skilled at restoring old cars and trucks. His knowledge will be sorely missed in Blanchard.

Marshall is preceded in death by his wife Imogene, daughter Patricia Dubois, his father and three grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother, three brothers, four sisters, daughters Vickie Mallett, Linda Williams, Debbie Hobson, Sharon Cannon and Barbara Hall, sons Roy Temple and Paul Temple, fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank many who assisted with Marshall's care and well-being in his final days, especially Gracie and the staff at Odyssey Healthcare, and all those who prayed for him. You were all a great source of strength for us.

Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Brown, Tony Devincent, Mark Gorum, Rusty Hall, Steve Martin and Sammy Yount. Honorary pallbearer is Mack McMullen.

There will be a private interment in Shongaloo, LA Monday, July 26, 2010 and a memorial service at 4 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St, Shreveport.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to Odyssey Vista Care Hospice Foundation, 8508 Line Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71106.
