MARY MCCONNELL
---Mrs. Mary McConnell, eighty-four years of age, died Saturday, April 16, 1949 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Tyhurst.
---Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at the Methodist Church in Novelty with burial in the Locust Hill cemetery.
---Mrs. McConnell, daughter of Samuel E. and Susan H. Huling, was born in Knox County, May 2, 1864.
---She was united in marriage September 10, 1882 to Adam Lewis McConnell of Gibbs, who preceded her in death April 17, 1929. To this union eight children were born, four of whom are still living, namely, Mrs. Tyhurst of La Plata, Mrs. Olive McKinney of Richmond, California, Rube McConnell of Concord, California and Guy McConnell of Novelty, Missouri. The four children who previously passed away are Inez Ratta, Ida Primrose, Roy McConnell and Paul McConnell, the latter dying in infancy.
---Mrs. McConnell has been a member of the Methodist Church since girlhood and was always a faithful worker.
---Two sisters and two brothers survive who are, Allie Orchard of Texas, Mrs. Nellie Bowen of Locust Hill, Chester Huling of Idaho and Ellis Huling of Locust Hill.
---There are twenty-three grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren that survives also.
