Emeline "Emma" Mulkey was born January 1, 1828, in Johnson County, Missouri, according to her death certificate. She was probably the daughter of John Mulkey; her mother's name is unknown. She married Silas Evans March 9, 1852, in Lawrence County, Missouri. With him she had two children, whose names are known: Sarah Jane and Ambrose Burton. After Silas Evans died in 1854, Emeline married Jordan A Morris on November 25, 1855, in Lawrence County, Missouri, and with him she had three daughters; Olney, Artilla and Elvira. After Jordan's death in 1859, she married Andrew J Armstrong on November 14, 1869, in Barry County, Missouri. By 1880 they had moved to Wyandotte County, Kansas, where Emeline lived for the remainder of her life. She lived the latter years of her life with her daughter Artilla and/or Artilla's daughter Nellie. Emeline died May 20, 1917, in Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas and was buried two days later in Mt Hope Cemetery, where several other family members are also buried.
