Another Old Settler Gone.
Last Sunday evening there passed away at his home in Milo, one of the old settlers of that town, Allen T. Chisholm. Mr. Chisholm has been ailing for the greater part of the winter but it was not until three weeks ago that he was forced to take his bed. Since then he gradually sank until the end at with the beginning of this week. Cause of his death is said to the general breaking down due to his, advanced age.

He was born in Belleville, Ont, January, 1819, and was therefore in his eighty-first year. He came to this county thirty years ago and has during this time resided in the town of Milo. He leaves a wife to mourn his departure the unknown land. Mr. Chisholm was from sturdy old pioneer stock and his death will be deeply mourned by the early
settlers.

The funeral was held Tuesday after noon was attended by several hundred, his old friends and acquaintances Rev. J, S. Bouck conducted services and the interment was made at Oak Knoll cemetery in this village.
