Arthur E Dalrymple was the son of James Dalrymple (1827–1910) & Mary Coleville Saunders (1834–1915) who lived in Mercer County, IL.

On 19 Sept 1901 Arthur was married to Margaret "Maggie" Herman at Aledo, Illinois, daughter of John U Herman & Mary Jane Whiteside.

Arthur & Maggie were the parents of 2 sons:
~ Harry Coe Dalrymple 19 Aug 1902-6 Apr 1957
~ Rex Roe Dalrymple 31 May 1906-22 Jan 1966.

Arthur was a tinsmith and furnace repair man

The Dalrymples lived in Seaton, Mercer Co, IL until 1914 when they moved to Lincoln, Lancaster Co, Nebraska. Maggie died either in Lincoln, NE or in Seaton, IL in 1914. She is buried in IL.

Margaret died in Lincoln in 1914, as Arthur gave his teenaged son Coe as his next of kin on his WWI Draft Card.
