CHESTER - Jeannie Christine "Chris" Young, 57, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at Allegheny Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Daughter of the late Harley and Shirley Young, she was born Nov. 20, 1952, in Lawrenceville.
A graduate of Oak Glen High School, Chris went on to work for the Hancock County Board of Education as a custodian and when not working, enjoyed gardening and bird watching.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest son, Jamie Michaels, and a sister, Joy Simmons.
Survivors include her son, Jason Michaels and grandson Logan Michaels, of Chester; special friend, Lori Logston and stepson, Christopher Logston; two brothers, Terry Young, of Salem and Tom Young, of Chester; one sister, Peggy Maston, of Newell; and former husband and good friend, Charlie Michaels, of Chester.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester where friends may visit on Monday from noon to 3 and 5-8 p.m. Send online condolences and view this obituary at www.arnerfuneralchapel.com
