Jack Marion Owens Jr. native to Mena, Arkansas passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at the age of 93.

He was born July 22, 1926 and lived in Dardanelle for 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, dad, mom, wife and sister.

He graduated from the Arkansas School for the deaf in Little Rock in 1948. Though he was hearing impaired it never stopped him from accomplishing his goals, nor had he ever met a stranger. He married his beautiful wife Helen “Florene” Spears at First Baptist Church in Mena. They shared 53 years of a wonderful and happy marriage.

They had three children; Donna Jean Owen’s and is survived by Connie Diane Owens and her husband Junior Taylor, and Larry Wayne Owen’s. Three grandchildren; Preston Lee Maggard and wife Samantha Maggard, Shay Uriah Maggard and wife Amber Maggard, Brandy Marie Everette and husband Jason Everette. Six great grandchildren; Brooklyn Maggard, Lane Everette, Dusty Everette, Waylon Everette, Anna Maggard and Benjamin Maggard.

He was a hardworking proud maintenance man of Tyson Dardanelle for 35 years. He was a devoted Christian and he also enjoyed family, friends, sports (Razorbacks), weather, gardening, driving, fishing and good ol’ sense of humor. He goes now to be with God and loved ones, but his laughter and light will be greatly missed for all who knew him dearly loved him.
