Sister Rosalima Keeffe, age 95, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, died Sunday, May 21, 1995, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 26, 1995, at Holy Family Convent Chapel. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O.Praem., with burial in Holy Family Cemetery.
The former Esther Keeffe was born March 19, 1900, in Delaware, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Julia McElligott Keeffe. She entered the convent in 1917 and professed her vows in 1919. Sister Rosalima earned a B.A. and a M.A. Degree from Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. Sister served as an elementary teacher at Cambridge and Zanesville, Ohio and Waukesha, Wis. She taught high school students at Holy Family Academy, Manitowoc, Wis., St. Willibrord, Chicago, Ill., St. Ambrose, Ironwood, Mich., Rosecrans, Zanesville, Ohio; Holy Name, Escanaba, Mich.; Guardian Angels, West Point, Neb.; Xavier High School, Appleton, Wis. and Guernsey Catholic Central, Cambridge, Ohio and served as a librarian at St. Mary School, Delaware, Ohio. After her retirement from active ministry, she resided at San Damiano Convent, Slinger, Wis. Since the fall of 1987 she has been a resident of St. Rita Health Center at the Motherhouse.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Holy Family Convent Chapel.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
