Sister Matteo Karl, age 90, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, died Saturday, June 12, 1993, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 1993 at Holy Family Convent Chapel. Celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O.Praem., with burial in Holy Family Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Eleanor Karl was born June 27, 1902, in Newark, N.J., daughter of the late Matthias and Theresa Stock Karl. She entered the Convent in 1952 and professed her vows in 1954. Sister Matteo served as a seamstress and sacristan at Sacred Heart Seminary, Oneida, Wis. Since 1974, she has been residing at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. She is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Chrisitan Charity.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Wednesday, June 16, 1993, from 4-8 p.m. at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. There will be a prayer service held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Holy Family Convent Chapel.
