Son of Joseph & Adeline Jane Miles Wilde; husband of Rena Roberts Wilde.

He died nearly two weeks after suffering an injury to his right arm in an accident in his barn.

C.J. Wilde was survived by his wife; two sons, Leonard Wilde and B. Wilde, both of Stocksville; one daughter, Mrs. Guy Sprinkle, also of Stocksville; two brothers, E.F. Wilde of Weaverville and Fred Wilde of Texas; and three sisters, Mrs. Hattie DeBruhl of Asheville, Mrs. George Byrd of Texas and Mrs. W.E. Harron of Stocksville.

Funeral services: Sunday, March 24, 1935, Locust Grove Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Wesley Sprinkle and Rev. S.C. Roberts.

Burial: Locust Grove Cemetery

Pallbearers were all nephews of the deceased: Talmadge DeBruhl, Howard Herron, Clifford Roberts, Clay Roberts, and Clayton Wilde.

Flower girls were nieces (unnamed in obituary)
