He was born on September 26, 1950, to Asa and Joyce (Houghton) Bell in Flint, Mich. He married Sherryl Myers on July 31, 1970, in Flint, Mich., and she survives.
He is also survived his son, Michael Bell of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; grandchildren, Justize Bell of St. Clair Shores, Mich., and Nevaeh, Zaylen and Devaun Bell of Watauga, Texas; brother, Arnie (Heike) Hayes of Fenton, Mich.; seven nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Sherry (Terry) Maitland and Sandy (Dave) Jones; brother-in-law, Gary (Mary) Myers; and special friends, Mersed and Irene Garcia of St. Cloud, Fla.
He was preceded by his parents; and brothers, David Bell and Howard Hayes.
Glen worked for GM, retiring July 31, 2012. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Seoul, South Korea. He enjoyed watching football and baseball and was a big NASCAR fan.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 14, 2012, from 1-2 p.m. at the Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Donnally officiating and military rites by the VFW Post 3360.
