Mr. Randy Lamar Ransom, a longtime resident of Jonesboro, "the city he loved so much," passed away at his home on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Randy was a friend to everyone and was always willing to share with those who needed his generous helping hand. Preceding him in death was his mother; Frances Corine Ransom. He is survived by his life long partner of 36 years, Mark Robertson, father; Lamar Ransom, brother; Ray Ransom, many cousins, and friends who will "cherish the memories." A visitation will take place at the home of Randy and Mark, Monday, August 27, 2012 from 4-7 PM. A funeral mass will take place, Saturday, September 1, 2012, at 11 AM at St. John's Episcopal Church in College Park. Celebrant Fr. Troy Beecham will officiate. Interment will follow in the church Memorial Garden.
