John Max Jarvis rejoined his sweetheart Mabel on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 20, 1926, in Salt Lake City to Erastus Leon and Genevieve Hilton Jarvis.

He worked in many occupations from the oil fields to wood working to truck driving.

Through an accident in a logging truck, John met his future wife Mabel who worked at the hospital. John also served faithfully in the U.S. Army.
