"Theodore Huyck died at his home at Schuyler Lake of heart trouble Tuesday, April 19th, after a long illness, which was not at first considered of a serious nature, but from which he kept gradually growing weaker. Mr. Huyck was seventy years of age, and for the past forty-five years has lived on the farm where he died. For forty-eight years he and his faithful wife have lived together, during which time seven children have been born to them, all of whom survive. Mr. Huyck was a kind neighbor and industrious farmer and he will be greatly missed in the neighborhood. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, and the seven children mentioned who are: Clement of Richfield Springs; Francis of Schuyler Lake; John, of Van Hornesville; Floyd, of Sewaren, N. J.; Mrs. Lelah Brainard and Mrs. Oscar Brainard, of West Exeter; Mrs. Addison Scofield of West Oneonta; nine grandchildren, one brother, John of Mcpherson, Kansas, one sister Mrs. Cockran of New Jersey ..."
