Eva (Ivka) was from Udbina, Croatia. When the passenger list was transcribed at Ellis Island, the transcriber indicated Ivka's name to be Yka Gasparovic.

Eva's paternal grandparents were Michael & Matthea Gasparovic. Her maternal grandparents were Georgii & Mandallena Bakaric. Eva's father was Marcus Gasparovic and her mother was Catharina Bakaric.

Eva's sister, Tera, married Mile Papez. Her sister, Roza, married Marko Kalanj. It is unknown who her brother, Ivan, may have married.

Eva was a passenger on the Ultonia, which departed for America from Fiume Harbor in Croatia. After approximately 2 weeks of sailing, Eva and her sister-in-law (Roza Papez*)arrived at the New York Harbor on October 27, 1913.

Although several of Eva's children's names were spelled Novak on their Certificates of Baptism, most of them spelled it Novack.

Eva died of myocardial insufficiency.

* The ship's documents indicate Roza Papez was the sister-in-law to Eva. However, she may have been the sister-in-law to Eva's brother-in-law, Mile Papez.
