Obituary—Mrs. N. Thoreson

Mrs. Nellie Thoreson, 78, Shawano, died shortly after noon, Wednesday, June 19. She had been in ailing health for the past three years.

The former Nellie Church was born October 30, 1884 at Winchester. She lived in Wittenberg and Clintonville before moving to Shawano twenty years ago. She was married October 28, 1903 at Clintonville to Charles A. Thoreson. He died May 18, 1959. Mrs. Thoreson was a member of the First Methodist Church and of the W.S.C.S.

One daughter and three sons survive. Ruth (Mrs. Karl Hoffman) Sugar Bush; Floyd Thoreson, Shirley Thoreson, and Everett Thoreson, all of Shawano. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bess (Mrs. Henry Mech) New Ulmon, Minnesota; Stella (Mrs. Noah Melay) Bartow, Florida; and one brother, Frank, Oakland, Calif. A sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, June 22, at 1:30 at First Methodist Church, Shawano. The Rev. R. W. McKeithen officiated and interment was in Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.
