Ira Nelson Crow was a medical doctor and surgeon; he was, however, known throughout state (sic. Iowa) medical circles as a specialist in the field of eye, ear, nose and throat treatment. He was author of a manuscript "Common Cold" which was broadcast over several Iowa radio stations in 1945. The manuscript gave a wide description as to the cause and control of the common cold.
