ENFIELD; DAVIS, Charles R., 85, died May 28 in Howland nursing home after a long illness. He was born Jan. 24, 1888, in Enfield, the son of Samuel and Jennie (Gilman) Davis. He was an honorary member of the Enfield Men's Club and was a lumberman and saw mill operator in the Enfield area for many years. He is survived by one son, Richard of Enfield; one daughter, Mrs. Loraine (Kibbe) of East Hartford, Conn.; two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Barton Funeral Home, Lincoln, with the Rev. Theodore Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
