Elona "Leona" P. Luchi, 88, of Drums passed away Sunday morning at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, following a one-month illness.
Born in St. Johns on May 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Petruska) Prokop, and spent most of her life in Drums.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, J. John Luchi, who passed away Jan. 27, 1996; a son-in-law, Frank Bereznak, on July 23, 1998; sisters, Irene Arnold, Margaret Nieman Novotny, Helen LaBanc and Mary Pepas; and brothers, John, Joseph and Andrew Prokop.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from Harman Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John Bosco R.C. Church, Conyngham.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake Service will be held Friday.
