Mr. Clyde Eugene Day, age 85, a resident of the Daysville community of Rockwood, TN passed away Saturday, July 5, 2008 in the Rockwood Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 27, 1923 in the Daysville community in Cumberland County, TN. Mr. Day was a retired heavy equipment operator with Bowater and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII serving as a Corporal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Bessie Lewis Day; wife, Agnes Day; son, Arlie Day; an infant daughter; and brother, Dallas Day.

Granddaughter: Angie Lane & husband, Chad of Rockwood, TN
Grandson: Shane Day & wife, Tracy of Kingston, TN
Great Grandchildren: Jarrod Daniels of Kingston, TN
Tanner Sexton, Skyla Day, and Laney Day

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Kenny Raines officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held Friday, July 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Daysville Cemetery in Cumberland County, TN with full military honor by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 10, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary
