ANDES - Roland Ackerly, 50, died November 2 in the Benedictine Hospital, Kingston, after being a patient two days.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Margaretville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Truran officiatin. Burial will be in the Sandford Cemetery, New Kingston.

Mr. Ackerley was born July 13, 1920, son of Preston and Bertha (Barkman) Ackerley. He married Margaret Jobmann October 8, 1960 in Margaretville.

He had lived all his life on the farm homestead where he was born and was a cattle dealer and dair farmer.

Surviving are his wife; one son Glenn of Margaretville and one daughter Sandra of West Point; one grandchild, Shane Ackerley of Margaretville; three brohter Sheldon of Andes, Williiam of Gilboa and Raymond of Delhi; two sister, Mrs. Ralph Archibald of Margaretville, Mrs. Louis Dietrich, several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Jester Funeral Home, Andes until service time.
