MATILDA WOLCHIK - PORT LAVACA -
Matilda Wolchik, 89, of Port Lavaca, died at a local nursing home at 7:45 p.m. Friday following a long illness.
She was born July 24, 1894, in Nelsonville, daughter of Vincent and Annie Kamensky Shiller. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband John Wolchik who died in 1980. She was a member of SPJST Lodge.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Richardson Funeral Home chapel. Dean Holford will officate.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Victoria.
She is survived by three daughters, Mabel Malchar and Bonnie Hengst, both of Port Lavaca and Goldie Cameron of Pasadena; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Janecek and Mrs. Ella Bartay, both of Bellville and Mrs. Lillie Korenek of Wallis; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Albert Schoener, Hermann Schneider, Butch Marshall, Ty Zeller, Butch Houseworth and Bobby Hengst.
