Haskell D. Boyer, 84, a retired Ft. Worth businessman, died Saturday, Nov. 3, at 8:30 p.m. in a Ft. Worth hospital following surgery for head injuries received in a vehicle accident in June.
Mr. Boyer was the husband of the former Ora Lee Glasgow, who grew up in Wellington and worked for a number of years in Pullman Cafe, owned by her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bryant. Mrs. Euby Langford of Wellington is her other sister.
The accident in which Mr. Boyer was injured occurred in Amarillo. Although he underwent the head surgery just before he died, the immediate cause of death was a heart attack, Mrs. Langford said. He was a frequent visitor in Wellington.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Bill Boyer; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Three sisters live in Illinois.
