Gerald "Jake" Moslander 75 of Indianapolis, IN peacefully passed away with his children at his side September 12, 2011. He was born on August 27, 1936 in Beatrice, Nebraska the son of the late Edward M. and Mayme (Guida) Moslander. Jake retired after 38 years at General Motors and was a Nebraska National Guard and U S Navy veteran. He was a member of Heather Hills Baptist Church and its Men for Missions; United Auto Workers and was a 1955 graduate of Beatrice (Nebraska) High School. Survived by his children, Angie (Steve) Mulholland Chute, James (Amy) Moslander, Rachel (Dwayne) Yaden and Gerald Matthew (Shawna) Moslander; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Richard D. Moslander; sisters, Dorothy Plegge and Betty Halterman. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, September 16, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Heather Hills Baptist Church, with visitation after 10:00 am at the church. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Beatrice, Nebraska. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
