DAY (BANY), LILLIAN Passed away May 30 at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, MI. Lillian was born December 31, 1926 to Joseph and Evan Bany. She was a graduate of Jackson High School class of 1946 and attended Jackson Junior College. In 1966, she married William Russell Day. She was a member of several organizations including Pythian Sisters, Women of the Moose and Sweet Adelines. Lillian was a devoted and loving daughter, sister and aunt. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters. She is survived by her sister, Katherine Machnik; brother and sister-in-law, Josie and Barbara Bany. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Sharon (Jack) Mallow, Linda (Richard) Rice, Joel Machnik, Michael Bany, Diane (Bill) Hughes, Tim (Janet Bany). A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jackson Friendly Home.
