Her birth name was Emma Herrmann. She was the seventh of eight children.
Siblings: Joseph, Matt., George, Nickolas, Anthony, Evelyn 1890-1891, and Magdalena 1891-1901.

Sister Anthony Marie Herrmann, age 95, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, 1999, at Holy Family Convent Chapel. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Liguori Mierzwiak, O.F.M. Burial will be at Holy Family Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Emma Herrmann on July 31, 1903, in Kenosha, Wis., daughter of the late Bernard Herrmann and Magdalena Grosch. She entered the Convent in 1926 and professed her vows in 1929. Sister Anthony Marie earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Holy Family College, Manitowoc. Sister Anthony Marie served as an elementary teacher and/or principal at St.Joseph, Waukesha, St. Mary, Brillion. SS. Peter & Paul, Kiel. St. Francis, Hollandtown, St. Gabriel, Neenah, St. Thomas More, Appleton, St. Anna, New Holstein, St. Willibrord, Chicago, Ill., San Roque, Santa Barbara, Calif., Immaculate Conception, Yuma and San Miguel, Ariz. After her retirement from the teaching profession, she served in the school office at St. Mary, Hilbert and in the Craft Room at the Motherhouse. Since 1996, she has been a resident of St. Rita Health Center Facilities at Holy Family Convent. She is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 1999, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. A Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Holy Family Convent Chapel.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting with funeral arrangements.
