A 4-year-old girl was killed Wednesday afternoon when she lost her footing in a tree and became lodged in the crotch of two large branches. She was caught around the chest. Kimberly Tate, 8808 SW Spruce St. was dead on arrival at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Police said the child had gone out to play in the back yard and was discovered hanging in the tree about 20 minutes later when her mother, Mrs. Donald P. Tate, went to look for her.
