Chetek – Oscar Gubrud, 85, died Monday at Bloomer Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 8, 1889, in the Running Valley area.
Mr. Gubrud farmed near New Auburn for many years until he retired to Chetek. He was married to Nora Larson.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Arnold, St. Paul, Edward, Chetek; three daughters, Mrs. Victor Larsen, LaCrosse, Mrs. Glenn Bailkey, Chetek, Mrs. Martin Carlson, Chippewa Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Anderson, Chetek, Mrs. Hilda Knipfer, Chippewa Falls; a brother, Melvin, Eau Claire; and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Lutheran Church in New Auburn with the Rev. LaMoine Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Sand Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday at the Burnham Funeral Home and at the church until services.
