Deanna Kay Jackson, 60, died Sunday, October 7, 2012, in Temple, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Deanna was born in Pueblo, Colorado. She loved to read and watch movies on Turner Classic Movies. Deanna had a heart of gold and gave her best at whatever she did. She would take in stray animals and care for them until she thought they would survive on their own.
Deanna is survived by her husband of 36 years, Ora G. Jackson; daughter, Crystalene Ruth Gonzalez, of Killeen; son, Ora Gene Jackson, III, of Houston; along with family living in Missouri and Colorado.
