George Bauguess of Dobson passed away on July 25, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Mt. Airy.
Mr. Bauguess was born in Wilkes County on December 8, 1921 to the late James Matthew and Bertie Billings Bauguess.
He served in the United States Army Air Force and served during World War II.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Reick Bauguess; sisters, Hazel Joines, Anna Lee Carter; son-in-law, Donnie D. Layell.
Mr. Bauguess is survived by his loving daughter, Gaye Layell of Dobson; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at Dobson Town Cemetery. Military Honors will be presented by Yadkin VFW Post 10346.
