John F. Simpson, 62, of 117 Grand avenue, died in the Ottumwa hospital today at 5:30 a.m.
He was born in Durham, England, August 2, 1876, the son of Thomas and Jane Simpson. He came to the United States when he was 4 years old.
Surviving are one sister, Sadie Chaney, and six brothers, W.C., Thomas, Matt, Robert, James and George Simpson, all of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The body is at the Lester Jay funeral home pending the completion of arrangements.
