Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Monday in the Smithville High School gymnasium for Tracy Roene Grant, 18, who died late Thursday in Denison, Tx., from injuries suffered in a traffic accident Tuesday night near Durant.
The Rev. Kenneth Bolin and Riley Donica will officiate, and burial will be in Smithville Cemetery under direction of Geyer-Quillin Funeral Home of Mena, Ark.
Grant was born March 23, 1965 at Talihina. She was a member of the Indian Baptist Mission Church of Smithville and was a freshman student of Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant.
She was a 1983 graduate of Smithville High School where she earned basketball all-state honors her senior year. She was a member of the SOSU women's basketball team.
She is survived by her parents, Abner and Virginia Grant, of Octavia; two brothers, Jeffrey and Darrell Grant; two sisters, Caroll Elaine Grant and Cheryl Blalock; her grandparents, Ruth Wilson and Addie Grant; a niece and a nephew.
