DIES IN HOSPITAL
Sister M. Callista Passes Away Following Stroke of Apoplexy - Funeral Saturday
Sister M. Callista, member of the Order of Franciscan Sisters, passed away at 7:15 o'clock this morning at St. Mary's Hospital. Death came as the result of a stroke of apoplexy. Sister Callista had been ill but two days having been taken sick June 6. She was born in Germany Dec. 30, ?? and came to the United States in the year ??. She entered the Order of Franciscan Sisters at Alverno, Wis. Sister Callista taught school in Nebraska and Wisconsin, coming to Oshkosh in 1918.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the Sacred heart church at 2 o'clock. At 3 o'clock the body will be taken to Manitowoc for burial at the Holy Family convent.
